Quarter sized hail was reported in Macon with the second storm that moved through town.

On the evening of Sunday, May 26th, storms developed over northern Missouri on the backside of a surface low, moving northwest to southeast through the area, producing large hail and a few damaging wind gusts. The town of Macon was hit twice by two separate storms, with the first bringing reported measured hailstones of 3 inches.
