Strong winds in an outer band well ahead of Beryl damaged trees and power lines in northern Tyler County. Approximately 800 power outages were reported by the emergency manager.

Hurricane Beryl moved into Texas during the morning of July 8th. Gusty winds, scattered flooding, and an isolated tornado occurred in deep southeast Texas as the system moved through the region.
