Golf ball sized hail fell in the community of Sidney.

A short wave in the upper level flow pattern would position over the Central Plains region of the CONUS in tandem with an approaching cold front that would move into out of southern Missouri into northern Arkansas. A few severe thunderstorms would develop along the cold front across northern Arkansas with damaging winds and large hail.
