Nixon fire that started at 130 pm local on July 29 burned 5,200 acres through August 7th, 2024. This was just south if SR 371. The wildfire was reported as human caused at Tule Valley Road and Richard Nixon Boulevard, Aguanga California.
Wider weather episode
A few thunderstorms with heavy rain occurred early August. The Nixon wildfire also erupted.
