The storm began early on the 5th with snow falling through the morning. Snowfall rates exceeded 1 inch per hour for a few hours around midday. After a brief break in the afternoon, snow fell again in the evening. A total of 8 to 14 inches of snow fell across the county. Jerseyville reported 14.2 inches.
