A wind gust to 51 mph occurred 11N Vandalia at 815 PM. NWS Employee said visibility was about 10 feet in blowing snow about 13ESE St. Marie at about 9 PM.

Wider weather episode

An arctic front dropped south into northeast Montana, bringing strong north winds with gusts to around 55 mph, that suddenly created near-zero visibility in places.
