Event narrative

Most snowfall totals in the county were under 6 inches, but a few locations in the far southern part of the county reached 6 inches with a high report of 6 inches near Phillips.

Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure passed well to the south of the Northland on the 7th into the 8th. While most of the snowfall associated with this system remained to the south of the Northland, some parts of northwest Wisconsin did end up on the fringe of the system and received snowfall of up to around 4 inches for the event. There were a few pockets of higher snowfall in parts of Washburn, Sawyer and Price counties were totals of 6 to 6.5 were received.
