Snowfall totals of 6 to 8 inches were reported across the southern part of Cook County. A high report of 8 inches was received from Lutsen.

Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure moving across southern Manitoba into northwestern Ontario brought snowfall to the Northland starting around midday on the first and continued into the morning of the second. Snowfall amounts were generally under 6 inches across most of the region with slightly higher amounts to around 8 inches along the North Shore. Pockets of higher snowfall were seen across parts of the region as well resulting in totals slightly over 6 inches in some locations. The Duluth area was the recipient of these higher snowfall amounts with 6 to 8 inches reported across town.
