Low temperatures were in the mid 20s to lower 30s, including readings of 28 at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, 26 at the USCRN Site near Coos Bay 8SW, 32 at Reedsport, and 30 at Bullards Bridge.

Wider weather episode

A trough moving south over the Rocky Mountains caused a broad ridge over the eastern Pacific Ocean to retrograde, and brought a colder continental air mass to the region. This resulted in freezing temperatures at the Douglas County and Coos County coastal area.
