Low temperatures were in the mid 20s to lower 30s, including readings of 30 at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, 25 at the USCRN Site near Coos Bay 8SW, 32 at Bullards Bridge, and 31 at North Bend.

Wider weather episode

A trough moving southwest into northern California caused a broad ridge over the eastern Pacific Ocean to retrograde, and brought a colder continental air mass to the region. This resulted in freezing temperatures at the Douglas County and Coos County coastal area.
