Sustained winds of 40 MPH were recorded for one hour in and around Cheyenne. Peak wind gust of 55 MPH was measured.
Wider weather episode
A major winter storm developed across the central Great Plains States March 3rd and 4th. Although southeast Wyoming didn't see much snow, north winds sustained 40+ and gusts of 50+ MPH were recorded with some blowing snow.
