Persistent strong winds gusts between 65 and 73 MPH along both Interstate 80 and Interstate 25 south and west of Cheyenne. WYDOT webcam showed a flipped over 16 wheel truck just after a peak wind of 73 MPH was observed at Wyo Hill WYDOT site.

WYDOT sites along Interstate 80 and 25 reported a few hours of wind gusts between 59 to 66 MPH. Peak gust was 66 MPH at Otto road, 16 miles west of Cheyenne.

Interstate 80 closed between Cheyenne and Rawlins for an extended period of time due to winter conditions. Webcams along Interstate 80 in the South Laramie Range Foothills showed snow covered roads and poor visibility.

A peak wind gust of 65 MPH was recorded at the EMKAYW Union Pacific Railroad sensor (14 WSW Cheyenne) at 12:28 PM MST on 4/9.

Several Union Pacific Railroad sites and one WYDOT site reported wind gusts over 58 mph. Peak gust of 65 mph reported at BORIE1 near FE Warren Airforce Base and 68 mph at UPR site 226 EMKAY.
