An impactful wintry system moved across the Ohio and Tennessee valleys on January 10th, bringing anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of snow to central Kentucky and southern Indiana. Unlike the event earlier in the week, precipitation fell entirely as snow, with temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s for the entirety of the event. While all locations in central Kentucky received at least light to moderate snowfall accumulations, a heavier band of snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches was observed from Hancock County down to Adair County, with the heaviest totals being observed around Elizabethtown.
