Mesonet station WNJ30 at Johnson Space Center measured a 58 MPH non-thunderstorm wind gust.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms along a cold front produced damaging winds, resulting in downed trees/branches and structure damage. High wind gusts developed in the wake of the front, contributing to sporadic power outages across portions of Harris county.
