A couple of upper level disturbances combined with northwest upslope flow to produce occasional snow showers across the North Carolina mountains throughout the 19th and the 20th. Total accumulations of 3 to 6 inches with locally higher amounts occurred in the high elevations along the Tennessee border. Up to 2 inches fell in the valleys.
