AWOS sensor Alpha, northwest of Pine Bluffs Wyoming, reported average sustained winds of 43 mph for over 1 hour.

Wider weather episode

After a brief lull of the winds and after some snowfall across southern Wyoming. Even stronger winds developed mainly across the Interstate 80 corridor from southeast Wyoming into the southern Nebraska Panhandle. Strong gusty winds were observed further north in Niobrara County also.
