Coast Fork Willamette River at Goshen rose above minor flood stage (15 ft) on Mar 16 at 1945 PST (2045 PDT), crested at 15.32 ft at 2200 PST (2300 PDT), and fell below minor flood stage around 1215 am PST (1315 am PDT) on March 17.
Wider weather episode
Two quick hitting shortwave troughs brought widespread and sustained precipitation to the western Oregon allowing for heavy snowfall across the Cascades. A third deep upper trough then quickly followed as well, and due to an accompanying warm-frontal boundary localized river flooding developed due to a combination of ample rainfall and snowmelt.
