A CDOT sensor along I-76 near Julesburg reported a peak wind gusts of 58 mph.

Wider weather episode

Strong gusty winds developed over the eastern plains late in the morning on the 14th and continued into the afternoon hours as well. Some roads were closed across southeast Colorado including U.S. 40 on Lincoln County.
