The US Drought Monitor indicated moderate/severe drought conditions across Sutton County during the month of March.

Wider weather episode

The drought increased in intensity across west central Texas during the month of March. The worse conditions which included severe/extreme conditions were located south of an Ozona to Eldorado to Brownwood line.
