Heavy rains of 2 to 4 inches during the morning hours of the 8th aggravated already high creeks and streams over much of Sutton County. Numerous roads were closed due to high water and road washouts.Rainfall totals over the past couple of days were 6 to 10 inches.

NWS storm survey of wind damage to a wool warehouse. Significant wind damage to the metal roof of the warehouse. Winds were estimated at 85 mph based on the roof damage to the warehouse.

U.S. Drought Monitor placed the extreme southeastern portion of Sutton County in a severe drought category by November 17.

Patchy areas of sleet and some freezing rain fell and made bridges and overpasses across the area icy. This led to a two hour delay on October 28 for Sonora ISD.

The northeastern half of Sutton County was in a severe drought. A small sliver of extreme drought was along the northeast Sutton and southeast Schleicher County Line.
