Over 12 inches of new snow fell at Old Faithful and Snake River.

A rather wet, Pacific system tracked across western and central Wyoming and brought locally heavy snow. The highest amounts fell in the northwestern mountains with up to 20 inches falling in the Tetons and 18 inches in the Absarokas. In the lower elevations, Dubois picked up 10 inches of new snow with 9 inches around Lander. In northern Johnson County, snow combined with wind gusts as high as 50 mph to bring local blizzard conditions, closing Interstates 25 and 90 for a period of time on the afternoon of March 18th.
