What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

An EF-0 tornado touched down just southeast of Sunrise near Price Road where minor timber damage occurred. The tornado continued east towards Fall Branch Road, doing damage to trees. Mobile home roof damage also occurred and shifted the home off its foundation. The tornado then moved east over a heavily wooded area, crossing over Ugly Creek Road and eventually Blue Buck Creek Road. Here the tornado caused damage to a residence and snapped and uprooted numerous trees before crossing over a ridge top. The tornado weakened thereafter with only tree branches observed on She Boss Road and Old Trace Road. Damages are a rough estimate.
