Event narrative

An EF0 tornado touched down north of Lafayette near Sparrow Road and continued northeast along Oak Knob Road where a path of timber damage occurred. The tornado also caused damage to a few residences and carports. Damage was more sporadic to the northeast, but continued to Akersville Road before dissipating. Damages are a rough estimate.

Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms moved through Middle Tennessee during the evening of June 18, 2025. Severe thunderstorm winds were common along the leading edge of this line of thunderstorms with several reports of downed trees received. Two EF-0 tornadoes were confirmed that occurred at approximately the same time. One was near Centerville in Hickman County while the other was north of Lafayette in Macon County.
