Event narrative
An EF-0 tornado briefly touched down and remained on the ground for about 1.25 miles, resulting in removal of a large portion of a barn roof, roof damage to a home, and notable damage to a number of trees. The tornado was rated EF-0 with a path length of 1.25 miles and a maximum path width of 65 yards.
Wider weather episode
Ample instability paired with 50 kts of effective shear created a favorable environment for severe weather during the afternoon on June 7th. Convection that did develop came in the form of supercells, two of which produced tornadoes in southeast Missouri.
