Thunderstorm winds blew down two trees with one on along Robin Road and the other near the intersection of Hamburg Street and Welcome Baptist Church Road.

A hot and humid air mass combined with orographical lift to produce a severe thunderstorm in Surry County of northwest North Carolina. Damaging wind gusts from this storm blew down two trees just east of Mount Airy.
