Video evidence revealed that the tornado first began east of Sidney-Freyburg Road, just south of Wells Road. The tornado then continued north near Lochard Road, where damage to corn fields and some minor tree damage was observed. The tornado is believed to have dissipated just east of Lochard Road.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system moved through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes region, lifting a warm front through the area, which brought an influx of moisture and warmth. Showers and thunderstorms developed, causing instances of flooding and severe weather.
