Event narrative
The first evidence of this tornado occurred on Johnson Road east of Folk Ream Road, where several large trees had branches snapped off and multiple smaller trees were snapped along their trunks. The tornado continued northeast, where it caused significant damage to corn fields along and east of Shrine Road. The tornado is believed to have dissipated east of Shrine Road.
Wider weather episode
A low pressure system moved through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes region, lifting a warm front through the area, which brought an influx of moisture and warmth. Showers and thunderstorms developed, causing instances of flooding and severe weather.
