During the afternoon hours of June 3rd, 2025, storms brought widespread heavy rain, flash flooding, damaging wind gusts, and a couple tornadoes to portions of Missouri. Two tornadoes impacted Jackson County, with an EF-0 near the Truman Sports Complex and an EF-1 in Independence.
