Event narrative

The South Sheridan Water Association Treatment Plant was struck by lightning. A fire developed and led to significant damage to the structure and equipment housed inside. This led to a temporary loss of water service to area residents.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe storms impacted the state over a five day span. In total, large hail and damaging winds were the primary hazards, however short lived tornado also occurred.
