Event narrative

A fire started by natural causes burned about 1,695 acres about 10 miles south of Malad. It began July 15th and was 100 percent contained by the evening of the 17th. It was a grass and brush fire in difficult terrain and was initially difficult to contain in gusty winds. No structures were threatened.
