A large Cottonwood tree was downed near mile-marker 27 on Rock Creek Road. The Missoula International Airport(KMSO), recorded peak wind gusts of 60 mph at 1902 and 1909 MDT.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed over the Bitterroot Mountains and Anaconda Range, tracked north and east across western Montana and produced gusty winds of 45 to 60 mph that caused spotty damage.
