Granite storm history

A CoCoRaHS member reported penny size hail on the south side of Georgetown Lake.

A spotter 3 miles southwest of Georgetown estimated 1.00 inch hail, and heavy rain.

Boulder creek near Maxville flooded and isolated one resident. A road flooded near the east fork of Rock creek. Debris piled up against many bridges across the county. Many residents protected their property with sandbags.

A flash flood came out of Edwards Gulch and brought debris, including mud and rocks, as well as water, into buildings on the west side of town. There was also some basement flooding.

The Saddle Mountian lookout reported up to penny size hail and heavy rain.

State employee 14 miles south of Philipsburg near Georgetown Lake reported 1.75 inch hail.

Three 6 to 8 inch diameter trees were snapped in half from Nimrod to Bearmouth.
