Approximately fifteen hours after the event, NWS employees found hail near the size of quarters on the side of a building in Hall. There was also evidence of very heavy rain with this storm.

Southwest flow ahead of an upper level trough produced favorable conditions for severe thunderstorms generally across southwest Montana.
