Event narrative

Three 6 to 8 inch diameter trees were snapped in half from Nimrod to Bearmouth.

Wider weather episode

On July 6, a short wave trough moved to the northeast through Southwest Montana during the evening hours. Strong mid level winds briefly mixed to the surface as a severe thunderstorm moved across Granite county.
