A strong atmospheric river brought heavy rain to all of Northwest California but particularly targeted in the northern half of the forecast area in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. Additionally, a strong coastal jet developed ahead of the front, allowing for damaging winds to impact the higher terrain of Humboldt and Del Norte and strong winds to other valley locations. Strong winds were also recorded in Mendocino, Lake, and southern Trinity counties.
