Flash flooding occurred near the intersection of Northwest 4th Street and Main Street in the town of Walnut Ridge.

An approaching cold front to the northwest of Arkansas in combination with temperatures which soared well into the 80s led to the development of isolated storms along an outflow boundary which led to a few isolated instances of severe weather across Arkansas.
