Event narrative

Snowfall began roughly at 10:00 AM on November 27th in the southwest portion of the zone, then spread northeast, reaching the Glasgow area about 2:30 AM on November 28th. Snow ended roughly 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM on November 29th. While snowfall reports around 4 inches were more common along US Highway 2, a co-op observer in far southwestern Valley County report 6.5 inches of snowfall.

This cold arctic snowstorm from the Canadian Rockies spread heavy snow through central and eastern Montana through the Thanksgiving holiday period.
