Several wind gusts of 58 to 68 MPH observed at Rawlins Wyoming from the Rawlins Airport ASOS and a mesonet sensor 4 miles outside of town. The peak wind of 68 MPH was observed at Rawlins Airport.

Wider weather episode

A strong jet stream aloft parked itself over southern Wyoming for a prolonged high wind event that lingered into the early morning hours of the 10th of December. Multiple wind gusts over hurricane force were reported with several 16 wheelers blown over across Interstate 80 and Interstate 25.
