WYDOT sites and Laramie Airport reported consistent wind gusts between 61 and 75 MPH. Peak gust of 75 MPH was measured at Quely Dome WYDOT sensor northwest of Laramie.

A strong jet stream aloft parked itself over southern Wyoming for a prolonged high wind event that lingered into the early morning hours of the 10th of December. Multiple wind gusts over hurricane force were reported with several 16 wheelers blown over across Interstate 80 and Interstate 25.
