Two locations in Scotts Bluff County reported periodic gusts over 58 MPH. Peak gust of 72 MPH was measured at Scottsbluff RAWS site, 2 miles west of Gering Nebraska.

A strong cold front moved across Wyoming and Nebraska December 17th and produced strong wind gusts over 58 MPH. Some of the strongest winds recently observed over the last several years occurred near the border of Wyoming and Nebraska during this event.
