A few observation sites reported strong wind gusts over 58 MPH. Gun Barrel WYDOT site reported a peak gust of 67 MPH.

Wider weather episode

A potent jet stream moved over Wyoming and the high plains resulting in another round of strong gusty winds, and occasionally very strong winds across the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming. Gusts of 60 to 70 MPH were common, with some gusts as high as 88 MPH.
