Several observation sites across central Carbon County reported persistent wind gusts over 58 MPH. Peak gust of 68 MPH was measured at the Rawlins Airport ASOS.

Wider weather episode

A potent jet stream impacted southeast Wyoming with some mountain snowfall and areas of strong gusty winds from the afternoon of December 21st through December 22nd. Wind gusts were generally between 60 to 70 MPH, with a few locations observing higher gusts.
