A few SNOTEL sites in the Snowy Range showed 20 to 26 inches of snow December 27th and December 28th. Highest snowfall of 25.5 inches was reported at Medicine Bow Peak.

A Pacific cold front moved across the region December 27th and brought Periods of moderate to heavy snow to the mountains, with some light snow and gusty winds for the valleys.
