What the National Weather Service wrote

Generally 15 to 20 inches of snow fell with some of the higher amounts being 20.5 in Glocester and 18.6 inches in Foster.

The wider storm

A low pressure moved through the eastern U.S. bringing a plume of deep moisture over top of an arctic airmass which brough 1-2 feet of snow to southern New England Sunday through Tuesday morning. The biggest total was 27 inches in Gloucester, MA.
