Snow and sleet totals ranged from 0.5-1. The highest report was 1.4 from 5.8 miles ENE of Palmerton. A light glaze of freezing rain/freezing drizzle also occurred in some areas across the county based on surrounding reports.
Wider weather episode
A winter storm accompanied by strong warm advection aloft brought a widespread wintry mix of precipitation to portions of the region. A coating of snow and sleet, as well as a coating of freezing rain was reported across much of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and northern Delmarva. The heaviest totals were reported across the Lehigh Valley and southern Poconos, where 1-2 of snow and sleet fell. Ice amounts were slightly greater farther south toward the Philadelphia metro area.
