The observer southwest of Piqua measured 6.4 inches of snow. A spotter north of Troy measured 5.5 inches. Another spotter in Troy measured 5.3 inches, and the bulk of observations across the county indicated that between 3.5 and 5 inches had fallen.
Wider weather episode
An upper level disturbance passed across the Ohio Valley during the early morning hours of the second. Ahead of this snow spread from west to east, beginning in the evening and ending shortly after daybreak.
