NWS Fairbanks issued a Blizzard warning at 0958AKST on April 20 for Kivalina and Red Dog Dock. The AWOS site located at Kivalina Airport (PAVL) reported blizzard conditions from 0915AKST through 1250AKST, with gusts up to 40 mph and visibilities limited to one-quarter of a mile or less. No fatalities, injuries, or property damage were reported.
