Lexington County 911 dispatch reported a tree fell on a vehicle near Crown Point Rd and Cabin Creek Ct.

The wider storm

The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur moved into the southeastern US which led to a significant surge of moisture into the area. The air mass became highly unstable in the afternoon and evening with MLCAPE values around 2500 J/kg. While there were isolated severe storms during the afternoon, widespread storms developed along a surface trough in Georgia with strong low level convergence which led to a line that moved through the area producing damaging wind gusts during the evening.

Began near Red Bank (33.9283, -81.2495).
