What the National Weather Service wrote

A 62 MPH wind gust was measured at the mesonet site located six miles northeast of Pantex, on the northwest side of Pantex Lake. Severe gusts persisted for two minutes.

The wider storm

A surface boundary was in the vicinity of the combined Panhandles through the afternoon and evening hours of June 29th. This combined with daytime heating, ample instability and enough dry air in the higher levels of the atmosphere to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the region. Some of these storms intensified to be severe with damaging winds being the primary hazard.
