Strong thunderstorm winds brought down multiple trees and wires down with vehicles caught in between.
The wider storm
A strong mesoscale convective system of thunderstorms dropped southward out of Ontario into Central NY, moving into an unusually unstable and sufficiently sheared environment. This supported severe thunderstorms with widespread damaging winds, an isolated EF1 tornado, and hail. Heavy rainfall also occurred as deep moisture surged northward from the Ohio Valley.
Began near New Lisbon (42.5902, -75.1970).
